Straight celery juice is considered a superfood, packed with all kinds of micronutrients like vitamin K, C, potassium, folate, calcium, magnesium and Vitamin B6 all of which are essential for a balanced diet. Celery juice is good for brain health, it’s high in antioxidants that can prevent cancer and it’s also really good for your digestive system. I drink approximately 16oz on an empty stomach first thing in the morning if I’m not fasting. Straight organic celery juice is more potent and powerful then just eating celery as the pulp has been removed so you can consume more. Juicing celery isn’t a meal replacement and it doesn’t replace any of the other healthy choices I have to make through out the day when it comes to my macronutrients like fibre, protein, fats and carbs. When you are choosing celery, choose organic if you can as there are fewer pesticides. If you can’t go organic make sure to really clean the celery before hand. Consume it as soon as you prepare it. Some people like it with an ice cube rather than room temperature. If you need to store some of it, use a mason jar with a sealed lid and use it the next morning.
