JOURNEY TO IRONMAN

(1st FULL MARATHON)
FORT LAUDERDALE, FL
FEB 14, 2021
First marathon in the books! PUBLIX FORT LAUDERDALE A1A MARATHON Even though a marathon isn’t a huge accomplishment this entire process has been invaluable to my growth because of the life skills I’ve learned from my training experiences like time management, proper nutrition, recovery, and mental toughness, just to name a few.
Huge thank you to my running coaches for making and keeping my training program fun and stress-free! @jaredcarson @ryanhall3 @runfree_training
It’s not about being at the top of the mountain, it’s about what you learned along the way and this was an incredible learning experience. I’m thankful for my legs, I’m thankful for my lungs, I’m thankful for my heart. I’m also thankful for my awareness that I have the power to change my thoughts and create strong emotions like love and appreciation through my own free will. I am aware that I am aware.

3rd IRONMAN October 2, 2022

BARCELONA, SPAIN
October 2, 2022 – After a 2.4-mile swim that took me 1:27 hrs in the rough waters of the Mediterranean Sea followed by a 112-mile bike ride in what felt like 30 mph winds I got off my bike after 8:08 hrs feeling ready to crush my marathon run with over 6 hours left on the clock. Next thing I know a race official came over to me and told me I missed the bike cut-off by 8 minutes. I was forced to stop racing – DISQUALIFIED. Here’s what went down.
